Voltz Credit Platform

Voltz, Energisa's fintech, was evolving its business model and wanted to develop a new, purpose-driven credit product. The outracoisa* challenge was to create a solution that went beyond traditional credit, generating a positive impact on the communities Energisa serves.

The product focuses on the growth journey of women entrepreneurs, offering not only credit but also training and support for formalizing their businesses. This holistic approach strengthens Voltz as a startup aligned with the specific challenges facing Brazilian women.

The Project

Transforming credit into a tool for social transformation

Voltz sought to develop a purpose-driven credit product, but the ideal approach and target audience were still unclear. The project began with in-depth research to identify opportunities and find a segment that positioned credit with social or environmental impact, aligning itself with Energisa's objectives.

During the process, we discovered that women entrepreneurs face specific challenges when trying to consolidate their businesses after the first year of operation. Based on this insight, we created a credit product focused on supporting these women, offering not only financing but also support in formalizing their businesses, increasing their chances of overcoming the first five years.

The Challenge

Purpose-driven credit as a growth driver

The challenge was to create a credit product that met three main objectives:

1. ESG: Promote social development by offering affordable credit to women entrepreneurs and supporting the formalization and training of local businesses.

2. Business: Create a new revenue stream for Energisa, leveraging the trusting relationship already established with its customer base.

3. Core Energisa: Stimulate the local economy by expanding Energisa's customer base and locations in the regions where it operates.

The Process

Intersecting the credit journey with women's empowerment.

Our mission was to develop a product relevant to both the target audience and the business. To achieve this, we conducted qualitative and quantitative research and identified the needs of a specific segment: informal women entrepreneurs with more than a year of experience, who face greater barriers to formalizing and growing their businesses. This perspective allowed us to create a value proposition that went beyond credit, offering a complete journey that included:

1. Support for business formalization.

2. Training and mentoring.

3. Fair credit.

Based on this vision, we designed a user experience focused on empowering these women, helping them grow sustainably and access credit simply and fairly.

The Solution

Training, support, and fair credit charged directly to electricity bills

The value proposition is embodied in an MVP that offers affordable credit integrated into user's daily routines. Credit payments are made directly to their electricity bills, simplifying the process and reducing the risk of default. The product is designed to provide a complete experience: in addition to credit, it offers support for business formalization and a training platform.

This holistic approach makes the value proposition tangible by providing not only credit but also the tools users need to grow and expand their businesses sustainably. Thus, the product generates a positive social impact while contributing to customer base growth and local economic development.
